I help current and future occupational therapy practitioners grow outside of clinic walls.
My journey began in the bustling wards of hospitals, where I specialized in geriatric care, dementia, and fall prevention. I quickly became drawn to the complexities and challenges of aging and care. Time and again, I saw families thrust into crisis mode, making critical health and care decisions under immense pressure and emotional stress. These moments, while challenging, illuminated a gap in the healthcare system—a lack of education, awareness, and access to support proactive planning for the aging process.
This realization sparked a desire to bridge this gap, leading me to establish an informative podcast, a consulting practice focused on proactive care planning for older adults and their families, an educational platform to support those family caregivers of older adults, and ultimately a book to start the conversations.
Today, the Aging Together Caregiver Hub provides access to a peer support community, educational content, vetted resources, and virtual support groups, spanning the life cycle of a caregiver: before, during, and after.
In 2023, I dove into the world of Generative AI. In 2024, I started teaching students and practitioners on how to integrate the use of GenAI tools into schoolwork, administrative work, academia, evidence-based practice, and documentation. Today, I’ve built the The OT Algorithm and offer guest lectures across multiple universities and organizations, including this keynote address.
Beyond my years as a clinical occupational therapist, I’ve built a career that spans leadership, mentorship, and academia. From the clinic to the classroom—and from state to national platforms—I’ve contributed to boardrooms, committee meetings, system-wide initiatives, process and quality improvement projects, strategic planning, curriculum development, program design, and student mentorship.
These experiences have deepened my understanding of leadership, advocacy, professional development, and mentorship across multiple levels of impact.
As of 2025, I am available for guest lectures, keynote speaking, and presentations on topics outlined below and others upon request. Rates may be hourly or project-based. To book an inquiry, please schedule something on my calendar.
